The mission of the church bookstore is to serve the congregation of Immanuel, especially those members who can’t always get to a Christian bookstore. The bookstore’s aim is to offer low-cost Christian messages of hope, concern, encouragement, and joy, along with Scriptural references to members and guests. To do this, the bookstore stocks Bibles, catechisms, Scriptural cards, jewelry, books, bookmarks, napkins, and small gift items at the lowest price available. Ministers serve in the bookstore because they care and because God calls each Christian to establish caring relationships and give service to all who enter Immanuel’s doors. Contact Helen Ohm for more information. |

Ministers are needed to provide midweek meals on Wednesday evenings during the Lenten season. Soup Suppers help Immanuel Lutheran Church to accomplish its mission of Equipping the Saints for Ministry by providing fellowship opportunities, and by providing opportunities for organizations served by the congregation to serve their fellow members, allowing them to more easily worship on a work night without the challenge of also cooking and cleaning up for an evening meal. Any excess funds received over the cost of the materials needed are donated to a mission outside of Immanuel Lutheran Church. This extends the equipping function through ministry to others in the world. If you’d like to be more personally involved, contact our current coordinator, Terry Krueger. Ministry Profile Page |

SCRIP (a term that means “substitute money”) is a stewardship program that enables participants to give money to Immanuel without having to alter their budgets or sell door to door. The SCRIP coordinator purchases gift cards at a discounted rate (anywhere from two to fifteen percent) and re-sells them for face value, with the difference going to Immanuel. Anyone can purchase cards for grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, and retail stores and support Immanuel through these everyday purchases. Immanuel members are invited to purchase these cards between services on Sunday mornings. Members interested in selling SCRIP should have a desire to raise money for Immanuel and be available from approximately 8:45-10:45 Sundays. Contact Trish Sauers or stop by the SCRIP table on Sunday. |

The name says it all – this ministry promotes congregational fellowship via refreshments on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall. Participants arrive at Immanuel at 7:30 a.m. to prepare coffee and lemonade, then serve the beverages between the first and second services. Training is done during participation. Sometimes members of this ministry also assist in serving donated food from other groups or with running special functions held during this time frame. Simple clean-up of food and beverages is needed afterwards. Ministers should be reliable and dedicated in following a rotating schedule. They should also have a passion for serving others – the gift of hospitality is a plus! Contact Linda Felton for more information. |
