Starting September 18th, the Schlie Christ Care group will meet the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month through the end of May. This in-depth, in-home study begins with a potluck supper (optional—but tons of fun!) at 5:00pm, and the Biblical Equipping begins at 6:15pm.We meet at the Schlie house. Further discussion will be held with the Monday night worshipping congregation to see what impact this schedule change has on this service during the program year.

On July 22-23, like so many of our members, our Church, School and Child Care experienced flooding throughout our facility. We had 2-4 inches of water in our worship space. We had water seep under the doors in the new conference center, the offices, school and child care. We had drains backup in our school, kitchen, and school bathrooms.

An able crew of volunteers and staff worked to alleviate the damage during the storms and in the clean-up that followed the end of the storm. We thank many of you who have already assisted with your time and effort. Because we do not have flood insurance, we have about $7,000 in costs that need to be covered outside of our annual budgeted expenditures, for remediation and replacing of damaged floors, walls, and equipment . If you are able to provide assistance over and above your regular pledge toward this need, Please place it in a special offering in the green envelopes from your offering packet or one of the white envelopes from the pew and mark it “For Flood Damages”. This can be placed in the offering basket or turned into the church office. Thanks!!

In order to best serve our young adults in their spiritual life, we are requesting everyone’s help in keeping our records current. As young adulthood is a very transitional time in life, many changes occur or have occurred already, some of which we may not be aware. If you, or your son or daughter is attending a college/university or other educational institution, are receiving vocational or technical training, have entered the work force or have joined one of the Armed Services, we’d like to be aware of it for our record keeping. If you or a son or daughter has moved, we’d like to have a current address and phone number so that we can continue to provide spiritual care in our life in Jesus.
