One of Immanuel’s ChristCare groups, led by Bob and Sally Denkert, invites the congregation to join them for their annual project, Operation Christmas Child, in which shoeboxes filled with needed items are sent to 105 countries. Immanuel members may help by purchasing and donating needed items (i.e. school supplies, toys, hygiene items, candy) and filling a shoebox with them, or dropping off items and empty shoeboxes at church. Donations are also needed toward shipping costs. Members may also assist at the Shoebox Party, where donated items are put into shoeboxes and all boxes are labeled for the collection site. From there, the shoeboxes will be routed to a distribution center, and then on to one of the participating countries. Contact Bob or Sally Denkert for more information. |

For nearly a century, Lutheran Hour Ministries’ mission has been sharing the Gospel worldwide. The message of God’s grace in Jesus Christ is sent forth via radio, television, and the printed word. LHM is supported solely by the contributions and prayers of men and women of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. If you would like to know more about the work of LHM and seek to become a supporter or an ambassador at Immanuel, please contact Terry Knight. |

The goal of the Juarez Mexico Mission is to reach out to those in Juarez and share Jesus’ love with them, especially by providing a home for a family in need of one. The team spends seven days traveling and four days building the house in Juarez, Mexico. With the guidance of God’s hand and the organization Casas Por Cristo (Houses for Christ), the team completes this mission. To participate in the trip, a minister must have graduated from eighth grade and be willing to give of their time and energy. Several pre-trip meetings are involved; usually the team meets in the Fellowship Hall for 1-2 hours. Contact Rick Schmid for more information. |

The Immanuel congregation supports missionaries and church growth in Uganda. Most recently, Immanuel has sponsored Salam Solomon Ayagri and Bensen Barahuka. Organizers of the Immanuel effort meet as needed for approximately two hours, usually at church. Those with a heart for Africa may also wish to participate in the non-profit foundation Christ for Africa. Contact Tim Brusseau or Tammy Kuderer for more information. |
