Spotlight on...Auction Committee 2010 PDF Print E-mail

How This Ministry Operates:

The Auction Committee plans, organizes and executes the Annual Auction to benefit Immanuel Lutheran Church, School and ChildCare.  The Auction provides service opportunities for those who have the gifts of hospitality and administration. It also provides an avenue for those with the gifts of arts and crafts to donate an in-kind gift to support Immanuel’s ministry and provides 3rd source funding to provide equipment and programs for Immanuel Lutheran Church, School and Child Care.

Families, Funds, and Fun!

One of the major goals of the Immanuel Auction is to foster fellowship. People who have attended the auction have thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and have found a warm atmosphere where they’ve had an opportunity to meet new people. Each year, the auction theme is different, so the décor and activities that reflect the theme make it a fun evening for everyone in attendance.

In addition to a change in theme, this year’s auction will also reflect modifications to a few operational details. First, instead of having hors d'ouvres, a full meal will be served at tables. The ticket price reflects the change in menu. Tickets are $15 per person, which includes appetizers, choice of a beef or chicken entrée, salad, dessert, and drinks. There is no discount for purchasing a table of tickets, but it is recommended that you find a group of eight to be seated with (otherwise you will be assigned a table).

How You Can Get Involved in This Ministry:

The Auction Committee is seeking assistance from the congregation in the areas of:

·         Donations: Gift baskets, gift cards, and other items may be donated by filling out a donation form (available in the Fellowship Hall). Ask friends, relatives and businesses you frequent to make donations, too!

·         Tickets: Purchase tickets soon! Tickets may be purchased in the Support Room or in the Church Office. (Anyone who attended the auction last year should receive an invitation, and can return the reply card to reserve their ticket.)

To indicate your interest in helping in these ways or at the auction itself, please contact Bob Denkert.
