How This Ministry Operates:

The Auction Committee plans, organizes and executes the Annual Auction to benefit Immanuel Lutheran Church, School and ChildCare. 

Families, Funds, and Fun!

The Immanuel Auction was originally started as an opportunity for fellowship with other members of the church and with families associated with the school and ChildCare.  Its purpose remains the same today, and has raised money for various projects, including purchasing and installing the playground equipment behind the school, helping to remodel the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms, assisting the youth program, and other capital improvements.

Currently the following church members are serving on the Auction Committee:  Co-chairs Bob & Sally Denkert, Mary Jane Clinard, Kris Meinecke, Lisa Schmidt, Don Wagie, Steve & Debbie Obst, Jeanette Ploetz, and Kim Will.

How You Can Get Involved in This Ministry:

There is always room for more people to help with the Auction, whether it is as a committee member, or someone on a single area crew; for example, publicity, acquiring business donations, food, decorations, set-up, etc. Of course, members are also encouraged to attend the auction and participate in the bidding excitement!

The best reason for you to become involved in the planning and execution of the Auction is the fun involved!  Although there is a lot of work, members always manage to have fun planning an enjoyable event where people will have fellowship!  It’s great to see all of the hard work pay off, as people are enjoying the food, the silent auctions, the $10 table, the “board” auctions and the voice auction.
