How This Ministry Operates:

The Immanuel Lutheran School Booster Club provides spiritual, financial, and inspirational support to the coaches and athletes so that they may build and thrive in body, mind, and soul through their participation in Immanuel Pride Athletics. Booster Club assists in providing funds for summer camps for basketball and volleyball. The club also raises money for sports and cheerleading uniforms.

The Booster Club is governed by a board. Current board members include Laurie Paunovich, President; Karyn Pahule, Vice President; Melissa Schwartz, Secretary; Debbie Obst, Treasurer; and Kent Kaelberer, Athletic Director. Meetings are held once a month during the school year from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school library or the Fellowship Hall.

Bump, Set, Spike!

The Booster Club is currently busy with preparations for the school Volleyball Tournament, taking place between April 23 and 26th.  Boys in grades 5 through 8 and girls in 5th and 6th grades will be participating in this annual tournament.

Immanuel members are encouraged to attend the Volleyball Tournament or donate food for the event. While at the Tournament, visit the Boosters’ Concession area to purchase yummy refreshments.

Why the Vice President Volunteers:

“I really enjoy being part of the Booster Club. My family and I like to go to many games to cheer on our teams. I have gotten to know many people, both from Immanuel and other schools. I am glad to be part of an organization that helps the school, from our Volleyball Tournament to our summer camps, buying uniforms and field up-keep, to keeping athletic fees low. Being part of the Booster Club, I feel that I am helping the school.” – Karyn Pahule, Booster Club Vice President

How to get involved:

All parents of students in 5th through 8th grades are welcome to participate by attending games and tournaments, and helping with fundraisers. Booster Club is also sponsoring an athletic awards night on May 27th and parents are welcome to attend. Be sure to support Immanuel Pride Athletics by sending kids to the summer sports camps, too.
