How This Ministry Operates:

Immanuel’s Boy Scout program involves both Cub Scout Pack 61 and Boy Scout Troop 61.  Both groups have been chartered (sponsored) by the Women in Ministry for more than 45 years.  The Scout mission is to develop boys into responsible young Christian men.  All boys (Immanuel members and non-members) from age 6 through 18 can be a scout.  Boys can join at any age.  Adults are also welcome. 

Annual/future activities:

Some of our annual activities include our Scouts hosting a Soup Supper, sponsoring a CPR training class, and providing fresh Christmas wreaths, popcorn, and pizza products for Immanuel members.

Our service projects for Immanuel and the community in the next several months are:

1. Sponsor another youth Open Gym. 

2. Participate in Immanuel’s Neighborhood Family Fest on May 24th.

3. Provide a CPR training opportunity for Immanuel’s members.

4. Various summertime service projects such as maintaining/cleaning flower beds, etc. 

How to Support This Ministry:

Immanuel’s support is always appreciated during our annual Christmas Wreath, popcorn, and pizza fundraisers.  This financial support has helped most of our scouts attend various fun filled and educational outings, campouts, summer camps, and high adventure trips (every several years).

Leadership Building for Boyhood and Beyond:

Scout families have indicated we have interesting/fun activities that they would never have done.  One of our Eagle Scouts indicated “The Scout Program builds leaders for their entire adult life.” Another Eagle Scout was able to attend West Point after reaching his Eagle Rank.
