How this Ministry Operates:

Blessed Again Resale collects used clothing and household items in good condition. These items are then sold, with the profits going to support the work of A Place of Refuge, which supports pregnant women in crisis. Blessed Again Resale is located at 7624 W. Hampton Ave., Milwaukee. The store is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

How Blessed Again Came to Be:

A Place of Refuge Ministries’ mission is to help expectant mothers choose life for their unborn babies. Blessed Again Resale was opened in June 2004 to support A Place of Refuge Ministries’ Advocacy Ministry and Refuge House. The Advocacy Ministry refers women to community resources, while Refuge House is a home for pregnant women in need of a place to stay. In addition to providing for women’s physical needs, A Place of Refuge also provides spiritual support and encouragement in Jesus’ name.

Taking the Next Step:

Donations of Items:

Blessed Again Resale can re-sell almost anything normally found in a home. This includes furniture, household appliances, clothing, shoes, jewelry, toys, books, collectibles, radios, and TVs. Please donate items that are clean and in good condition. (Note: Some items that can’t be reused: refrigerators or air conditioners that contain Freon gas, gas-powered lawn mowers, or computers over 5 years old).

Donations of Time:

Volunteers are always needed to help sort and price clothing, ring up sales, and assist on the floor.

A Place of Refuge’s Life Walk is also fast approaching – June 21st! This 1.5-mile walk will be held this year at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10729 W. Freistadt Rd., Mequon. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Call (262) 238-1374 for more information.
