How this Ministry Operates:

The Immanuel Lutheran School Library supports reading appreciation and instruction in the Day School. Students use the library to enhance the curriculum.

New Resources at Your Fingertips

By this fall, there will have been about 200 new books entered into the collection. Many of the books were purchased through profits from the Scholastic Book Fair held last May.

How You Can Get Involved in This Ministry:

Members may support the School Library by purchasing and/or donating books for the library.

People who have an interest in books, enjoy working with students, and are available during the school day are encouraged to become library ministers. Ministers are needed to staff the library during the school day. Ministers work in the library 2-4 times per month on a regularly scheduled day during the school year. Ministers read to the students, check books in/out for the students, reshelf, and straighten books. Training on the electronic library system and shelving of books is provided.
