Opportunities to Serve

Opportunities to serve abound at Immanuel. They range from musical groups to maintenance; from ChristCare leaders to coffee-makers; from mission trips to fixing meals…and that’s just a start! Here at Immanuel we are committed to helping you to serve in a way that best uses your God-given gifts and passions, so that more might come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

What does this mean for you? If you have an idea of how you’d like to serve, let us know and we’ll help you in any way that we can. If you’d like to do something new here, we’d love to talk with you about how to start that! If you’d like to serve but don’t have any idea where to start, we have a PLACE workshop that is offered several times each year that will help you discover some places to begin. You can also check out our Take Action menu on the right side of this webpage for ideas.

Thank You Bell Choirs

Dear members of Immanuel and Handbell Choir,
Besides knowing Jesus, directing handbells has been the joy of my life these 29 years. It has been very rewarding to choose a piece of music, and have you the players interpret it, to exalt our Lord and Savior. Though my spirit is willing, my body signals are telling me that it is time to quit. After prayerful consideration, I have decided to retire from directing handbells, Ringers of Joy and Youthful Ringers, beginning August 1, 2010. To you my handbell players, I thank you for your dedication and support and for making practicing and playing such a pleasant experience. I hope that if a new director is found, you will continue using your talents. As I stated, I will discontinue teaching bell choir in the school also. Thank you, Immanuel, for making the handbells available for us to play.

Life's Big Questions, God's Big Answer Christ Care Group

Come and enjoy an exciting study of Brad Alles’* new book, Life’s Big Questions, God’s Big Answers ! Starting September 18th, the Schlie Christ Care group will meet the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month through the end of May. This in-depth, in-home study begins with a potluck supper (optional—but tons of fun!) at 5:00pm, and the Biblical Equipping begins at 6:15pm.We meet at the Schlie house. Everyone is welcome to join our Christ Care group! Please contact David and Abbie Schlie for more information.
